About

ABOUT

Kalyra brings over 25 years of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist, plus a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Her dual training allows her to connect the body, mind, and emotions in ways that foster true growth. She is passionate about guiding clients through developmental challenges and traumas to support emotional well-being and resilience as well as support activities of daily living and healthy social integration with family, friends, and community. Kalyra developed a PESCI model of holistic therapy, including the following areas: Physical (strength, tone, FM/GM skills and sensorimotor integration, self-care skills) Emotional (naming and deepening awareness of emotions and processing them) Social (helping clients navigate social and intimate relationships in healthy ways) Cognitive (supporting cognitive and academic development, problem solving skills) Integrational/spiritual (exploring one's sense of belonging and meaning-making) Using OT and/or psychotherapy, sessions may support any of these areas as needed. For example, a child may receive sensory tools and coping strategies alongside education and attachment-based parental support, or an adult may combine body-based regulation and mindfulness with art, movement and talk therapies. Our Occupational Therapy services help children gain independence, confidence, and readiness for school and daily life. Traditional focus areas include sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, play, and social participation. Psychotherapy provides a safe, trauma-informed and supportive approach to care for children, teens, and adults. Services include support for anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem, and family relationships. Approaches integrate mindfulness, emotional regulation, and relational healing.

“Kalyra is magic! She never gives up on Michael. She cares not just about him, but his brother and me. She's compassionate and never judges me. She understands trauma on a level beyond other therapists, which benefits my family's history.”

Eileen, Parent

“How amazing and essential Kalyra is! She has offered an immense amount of grace and space for Susan to work through parenting issues and because of this, Susan knows she can become a better person.”

Kelli, Former Clinical Services Manager

“Aron's mom had the most incredible things to say about you. She became teary when she described how you've become a part of their family, advocating for Aron like no one else. She doesn't feel like Aron would be where he is today without you.”
